ALS equipment provides for cardiac monitoring, intubation, vents and medication administration.

Equipment in addition to ALS, includes oxygen, fixed to the wall and portable units. A full compliment of oxygen administration devices including airway maintenance adjuncts, oxygen masks, cannulas, and bag-valve masks in adult, pediatric and infant sizes for all airway management situations.

A wide assortment of bandaging materials, cold packs, hot packs, cervical collars, long and short backboards, sterile waters, burn treatments, splinting materials, oral glucose, OB kits, blood-pressure cuffs, electronic blood-pressure monitors.

All West Coast - Southern Medical Service ambulances are also equipped with two-way radios. This radio communication is the primary method of communication and dispatch. All West Coast - Southern Medical Service vehicles also have cellular telephones that offer a secondary method of communication. This ensures immediate access to the Medical Control in the hospital's Emergency Department. West Coast - Southern Medical Service crew members also carry pagers while on duty.
